Diocese of Angola (from 2010)

Angola is a missionary diocese which covers the entire country. Bishop Andre Soares invited us to lead Rooted in Jesus training in 2010.

A four day conference was held in Luanda, with 115 people attending the whole time (plus others who attended in part). Each leader submitted a detailed plan for their group, and between them they planned to invite some 1400 people to join groups. Two coordinators were appointed. Despite the challenges of distance and resources, the response to the conference itself was outstanding, and the team returned with great confidence in the future of the Diocese.

Bishop Graham Dow visited Luanda in August 2010, and reported that 13 groups were making good progress in St Stephen's Luanda and others in other parts of the diocese. A report in November 2011 confirmed that 80 groups were active in Luanda, 24 in Uige and 2 in Lubango.

Rooted in Jesus is used in Portuguese.
